The first decision you will need to make is which type of resume best suits your needs. There are three options to choose from. None of these is intrinsically right or wrong they are simply different ways to package your experience and expertise. Obviously, some packages will fit some circumstances better than others, so you do need to choose your format carefully.
Every page of the resume should include a page number. Many a times some resumes do not include a page number. This shows the interviewer how precise and perfect the individual is towards his/her work. Such small details do make an individuals resume different and unique from the other resumes.
Heres what I am suggesting. Have an honest conversation with yourself. What do you want personally and professionally over the next few years? Go into great detail. Dissect everything from the role and compensation, to how long you are willing to commute and travel, to whether you are capable of sitting in a classroom or in front of a monitor to learn. Be frank and honest. Dismiss nothing. Then, take a discerning look at the picture. Sit on the opposite side of the desk and ask yourself, Would I think this candidate is qualified and the right person considering what it says on this document? Probably not at this moment but the beauty of a strategy is that you can alter the tactics to getting there. You can question the entire strategy before it becomes reality. Try it.
