1. Include an objective; some people believe it's best not to limit themselves via an objective but without some form of purpose, the potential employer may not know what you are after.
Firstly, make a resume: Making a resume for an entry level job may itself be something that sets one apart from other applicants. Many dont bother to draft one, preferring instead to fill out a standard application so when one makes the effort to write out a proper, well drafted resume that is relevant to the job, it can straight away make a good impression on a potential employer.
7. Failure to let loose. If you have a hard time writing good things about yourself, get some help. Your resume needs to be as persuasive as you can possibly make it. You are expected put your best foot forward on your resume. Employers have no problem with that as long as you are not telling them a bunch of lies.
