Resumes that have a ho-hum listing of job duties do not make the cut in a crowded employment market. Just filling in an MS Word template with your job description won't get the interview. Clearly show what you're capable of by illustrating what you've done in the past. Combine your accomplishments with your responsibilities in a features/benefits format that includes plenty of action verbs.
A good resume connects the persons capabilities and skills to the job requirement. This makes your resume more attractive and desirable to the company, thereby increasing your chances of selection. This is because the hiring organization would want to know beforehand what potential the candidates own that makes him capable for the job.
Netting more attention from companies eager to benefit from your expertise isn't as hard as it might seem. After all, most leaders can point to the effect of their work on revenue, profit, and cost.
